Handmade jewellery

Hand crafted jewellery inspired by the natural world

A showcase and shop of metal pieces to wear, sculpted from encounters with the wild — birds and bees, the sea, and the quiet language of hearts.

A note from the maker

I do not consider myself a jeweller in the traditional sense — my training came from a fine art perspective, and I am drawn far more to the emotional and spiritual life of a piece than to technique alone.

Does a little bird necklace on a nest make you smile? Do the gulls, stones and waves on a silver brooch take you back to those bucket and spade holidays you loved as a child? Does the texture of my rings evoke that walk in the woods when you examined the deep fissures of the bark on those magnificent oak trees?

My work is mainly inspired from encounters with the natural world. My holiday in Hartland, Devon inspired the sea pieces, while the little birds and bees came from observing the vibrant wildlife in my little terraced garden. Hearts too are a passion with me. It is a universal symbol of love and devotion and can even be found in Greek and Roman designs. My silver hearts speak to me of love today, yesterday and the love I hope to find in the future.
